I am back in Wisconsin, back to a wilted garden in the middle of intense drought and a busy ramp-up to the new season for my theater day job. I have much to write about Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. But while I recover from the inevitable culture shock that always follows the transition back to the States, I satiate your appetite with a visual taste of Tallinn, my favorite city of the Baltic Republics. A city crammed with tourists exploring the cobblestoned and turreted streets, but also a city full of festivals and clanging trams, wise old architecture and sorrows of a Soviet past. And some of the best salmon I’ve ever eaten.
