Over my weekend sojourn to my hometown Portland, Oregon, I managed to fit in a morning photowalk. I have not been home in over a year, so I allowed my eyes to take in familiar streets and neighborhoods anew and surprised myself with what I caught on camera. The skies cleared to allow the morning sun a chance to blaze, bathing the city in light. Everyone was out to enjoy the warmth after the gray and rain. I gloried right along with all the joggers, bikers, Saturday market browsers, even a kayaker on the river. There is nothing like seeing your hometown in a new light.
I plan to continue posting my photos from Iceland and the Faroe Islands, but please excuse this interruption for Portland, Oregon – A Hometown Scrapbook.
