I think I saved the best of Greenland for last. I loved my stay on the sheep farm of Inneruulalik – one night was not enough! My hosts Hendrine and Jørgen Lund were friendly and gracious and I learned much about life on a sheep farm. I also visited Igaliku, a small community that is home to the important Norse site of Garðar, once the episcopal seat of the Norse Christian church. It is rather amazing just how much archaeologists were able to excavate. The cherry on top was my up-close sailing through an ice fjord, a surprise from Jacky Simoud of Blue Ice Explorer. I am forever thankful.
So enjoy this last batch of photos from Greenland. I will begin to sort through my photos of Iceland and the Faroe Islands. To view the slideshow, click on the link below.
